Atlassian is looking for a communications ninja to craft and nurture the stories we share with the world. You will lead PR and AR for the fastest growing product in our portfolio – HipChat. Your job is to work with our customers, our executives, and our product teams to propel HipChat into the stratosphere. You’ll join at an exceptional moment of growth, and have an opportunity to make a real impact on HipChat and our company as a whole. In addition to driving product-specific communications, you will be an active participant in corporate, business and executive PR as well – collaborating closely with teams company-wide on market trends stories. In this role, you’ll be a strategic messaging partner to the General Manager of our collaboration products, and you will work with the product teams to develop messaging frameworks, annual PR/AR plans and deliverables. You’ll directly manage media and analyst relations, and you will own and drive the creation of media and market analyst materials including pitches, executive speaking points, press releases, fact sheets, customer testimonials, contributed articles, and market analyst report submissions. You’ll have support from global PR agencies and be part of a team of four, reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Communications. More about you We’re looking for someone who has a hunger to define and build something, nearly from scratch, not just toe the line in a big corporate machine. You’ve got 8+ years PR experience, preferably a combination of agency and in-house. You have a strong background in managing communications for a fast-growing SaaS company in a competitive market and you’ve demonstrated the ability to define the playing field and secure a leadership position through highly effective PR and AR. You know what types of messages and stories play well with developers and which outlets are most effective for reaching the developer audience. You’ve also got a knack for knowing what will interest media and market analysts and how to shape messaging for different audiences. You’re a great writer, with a love for penning messaging platforms, pitches, press releases, and op-eds, and you’re a confident communicator with experience as a spokesperson. You’re a voracious reader; up to date on all of the latest moves in technology and the world in general. You’re scrappy, but can also thrive collaborating across a company of 1000+ people. You’re high-energy and an effective multi-tasker able to prioritize high profile projects and juggle urgent inbound requests with ease. Your ambition extends beyond communications and you are interested in expanding your marketing skills over time as our company rapidly grows.
