Right to Work / Derecho a Trabajar Responsibilities: Bentley Systems is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Writer to work as a member of the company’s Corporate Communications-Principals Group at its headquarters offices in Exton, Pa. Reporting to the director of corporate communications, this person’s primary job responsibility is to develop a wide range of written corporate communications through regular engagement with the company’s senior management and product teams. The position requires extensive experience generating a large volume of technically focused and creative communications at a corporate level. These communications must align with the company’s high-level corporate messaging and competitively position the features and benefits of its comprehensive portfolio of software for sustaining infrastructure. Among the materials that will be written/edited/reviewed are: Press releases and news alerts Annual reports Magazine articles, including executive interviews Scripts (for keynotes, conference calls, awards ceremonies) White papers Web pages Onsite programs Emails (for event recruitment, collateral transmittals, etc.) Letters (acquisitions, congratulations, sales, user group activities, etc.) Quotes (Bentley user and internal executive) Infrastructure Yearbook copy (intros, project descriptions, etc.) Messaging documents Boilerplate, Bentley corporate profiles/backgrounders FAQs Talking points (for interviews, PRs, etc.) Executive bios In this capacity, the senior corporate communications writer: Works closely with the director of corporate communications, vice president of corporate communications, and CEO to conceptualize and write technically accurate, compelling, and creative copy for corporate communications materials, as noted above; Serves as gatekeeper for Bentley’s corporate messaging (working in concert with the director of corporate communications), carefully reviewing materials developed by other Bentley departments for strict adherence to relevant corporate messaging documents and guidelines; Works with/interviews internal clients (CEO, COO, CMO, VPs, industry marketing directors, product managers, etc.) and external clients (Bentley users, industry experts) to secure content for corporate communications materials; Proofreads corporate communications and corrects all errors; Edits corporate communications to fit layouts Develops a working knowledge of and strong familiarity with Bentley’s solutions, products, and services as well as with the demands of the market segments and users we serve in those segments; Stays abreast of all corporate communications messaging documents, along with product advantage and user advantage campaigns. Qualifications: 10+ years of professional experience writing both technical and creative communications for a major corporation, user organization, industry association, or public relations firm, preferably in or heavily engaged with the software industry A substantial portfolio of writing samples, including issued press releases and published articles/case studies/news stories/white papers College degree Bachelor’s required Master’s preferred Computer software skills: MS Word MS Excel MS Outlook PowerPoint Adobe Acrobat CSS and HTML knowledge a plu Exceptional command of English language Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and abstract corporate positioning and translate both into easy-to-understand written communications Able to work within the company’s stringent style parameters Ability to multitask Ability to meet very tight deadlines Attention to detail and dedication to work of the highest quality Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to readily interface with others at all levels of the company, up to and including the CEO Excellent listening skills
