Group Director- Corporate Communications
Description:Cadence is seeking an experienced,strategic communications leader to join our team and serve as Group Director,Corporate Communications.This position is responsible for global public relations; community affairs, as well as coordinating with social media and blogging programs at Cadence. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing, the ideal candidate will be responsible for setting strategy - including defining overall objectives for the Public Relations program - and managing program implementation. Responsibilities will also include managing external agencies. The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with industry analysts, trade and business media, as well as deliver press coverage that effectively positions our business strategies and messaging. In addition,we are looking for a leader savvy on social media techniques to manage the delivery of relevant company information and messaging through social media channels such as,Linked In,YouTube,Twitter and Facebook. Position Responsibilities include: • Develop communications plans and manage global implementation • Manage internal and external worldwide PR team to ensure objectives of PR plan are achieved • Oversee the selection and management of agencies • Manage content and quality of PR deliverables including press releases,contributed articles, blogs,as well as social media channels. • Collaborate with Cadence Campaign Marketing,Product Marketing and Executive Communications to ensure PR programs are strategically designed and implemented to maximize impact towards Cadence's business goals • Serve as a company spokesperson • Develop and maintain relationships with senior-level management • Provide feedback and mentor team members on quality of communications Position Requirements Skills/Experience: A minimum of 10 years of Public Relations management experience is required,preferably as a PR executive inside a large industry leader. Must be highly strategic and capable of engaging in in-depth business and marketing-related discussions with senior management,analysts and media. Strong budget management skills. Knowledge of high-tech, semiconductors,EDA,or related businesses. Established relationships with journalists,particularly high-tech media,bloggers and business press. Proven experience in executive positioning,technology marketing, and serving as a spokesperson. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated initiative,solid judgment and creativity. Strong presentation skills.
