Overview The primary goal is to provide a single point of contact at the hospital to manage and nurture relationships with local clinical professionals who may refer or have a patient treating at CTCA. The Manager of Professional Referrals is the direct link between the clinical professionals in the region and the operations of the hospital. The Manager of Professional Referrals is responsible to generate patient volume for the hospital. The position requires innovation to implement strategy and process flow, as well as implement relationship management and operational best practices. The Manager of Professional Referrals is accountable for developing and implementing a strategy for delivering patient referral business from the medical community including physicians (MDs/DOs) as well as stakeholders, business leaders, and working with the Cancer Fighter Coordinator to increase patient referrals. The strategy requires the Manager Professional Referrals to create the appropriate infrastructure to accurately manage and measure referrals through the entire process. The creation of the infrastructure would require collaboration with OIS, Finance, Intake, HIM, IT, and counterparts at the other four sites. Once developed, the process will be closely monitored and tracked on an ongoing basis to accurately measure results. The Manager Professional Referrals will be responsible for appropriate messaging and positioning of CTCA to each prospective referral group, including content appropriate branded materials. In addition, the Manager Professional Referrals will be responsible for external relationship development with medical professionals to position CTCA as the premier cancer center to refer patients. The outreach would include representing CTCA at external conferences and conventions, as well as hosting professionals at the hospital site for events, tours, and educational opportunities. In addition, the Manager Professional Referrals would collaborate with the VP of Oncology or Director of Physician Relations to present appropriate CMEs and other education opportunities. Qualifications Minimum of a BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Public Relations or a related field Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant Marketing and/or Healthcare experience 2 to 3 years of experience working with medical professionals and/or clinical experience – Preferred Experience with a high quality consumer brand - Preferred Experience with budgeting, reporting, and analysis with a strong background with Microsoft Excel Proven track record of successful relationship building and nurturing Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills and team building capability Ability to manage multiple tasks/relationships at once Skills Proven track record of success and desire to grow and assume greater responsibility Results oriented Ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals Ability to think creatively and perform quickly Excellent presentation skills Proactive and organized Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Basic understanding of databases and business rule design The Best Place to Work We call ourselves Stakeholders because we all have a stake in the care and success of every patient.
