Director of Communications & Public Relations
Description:JOB DUTIES: With Network support, develops and implements internal and external communication campaigns. Builds relationships and credibility across all levels in the network. Leads public relations activities. Advises executive leadership concerning communication needs and approaches. EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related field. Experienced in and comfortable with leadership interaction. Healthcare experience not required, but preferred. EDUCATION: BS or BA in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or related field. LICENSE: None SKILLS: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact with and build credibility among employees, providers, hospital and network leadership. Understanding of sensitive public/media relations issues and ability to explain hospital programs. Analytical skills to gather, interpret and organize information for preparing and providing appropriate marketing and publication material. Advanced written and oral communication skills. Organizational and problem-solving skills to direct projects from start to finish Not required to reside in Kokomo, but must be able to meet obligations that fall outside work hours of 8-5, Monday through Friday.
