International Global Communications Manager
Description:The Crowe Horwath International (CHI) global communications manager, working with various global teams, will be responsible for implementing and supporting development of the global communications strategy. He/she will lead CHI employee communications and CHI member firm communications and it’s preferred that the person in this role will also have the capability to help manage the regional and global media relations strategy. The global communications manager reports directly to the global director of strategic communications & network development and indirectly to the Crowe Horwath International CEO. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-oriented, detail-driven, experienced communications and public relations professional. He/she must exhibit the ability to serve as a consultant and practitioner supporting the communications needs of CHI’s global organization and an advocate of CHI’s brand and reputation. Specific roles and responsibilities include: Implementing the communications strategy and adapting it as business impact, business needs and business timelines market and demands evolve Planning, coordinating and implementing communication tactics to successful completion Conducting stakeholder needs analysis and prioritizing action steps Implementing internal member firm communication programs, including monthly and quarterly electronic publications, periodic CEO videos and members’ guide Supporting special events throughout all phases, from content development through program execution and evaluation, including the Annual Meeting, regional meetings and CEO meeting presentations Leading employee communications, including COO communications (regarding benefits, etc.) Implementing the social media strategy, including managing social media accounts and content management Building necessary reporting mechanisms to monitor communications engagement of stakeholders including member firm communications, employee communications and social media Managing the CHI media relations strategy, including developing and distributing news releases and proactively pitching CHI personnel for interviews Maintaining stakeholder distribution lists and assisting in the upkeep of a global directory system Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements: CHI Global Communications Manager qualifications: BS / BA in Communications, Journalism or related field and a minimum of 10 years professional experience required Excellence in communication, writing and editing skills for print, Web and social media Successful track record of developing, managing and implementing regional and global communications strategies Superb organizational skills with the ability to diplomatically prioritize demands Preferred media relations experience Ability to respect and understand diverse, global communities and possess sensitivity to diverse people, cultures and organizations Experience living/working outside of the United States a strong plus
