Communications Manager – Communications is responsible for leading the writing process and preparation of marketing deliverables. Principal Responsibilities 1. Content Creation and Management (50%) · Performs the lead writing role in Marketing deliverables, drafting original content and identifying appropriate text, concepts and salient points that add value · Controls content in Marketing deliverables from project inception to project delivery · Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the real estate business that adds value that strategically enhances Marketing deliverables · Accurately researches potential clients · Follows all business development processes and Marketing standards as set forth in “The Rules of the Road” · Manage our internal SharePoint websites and update content as needed · Create/edit videos with basic scripting/storytelling and camera work 2. Public Relations and Social Media · Maintain close relationships with the press/media outlets and write all local press releases. · Actively update all social media sites to keep content new and fresh, while adhering to our brand. 3. Participation & Collaboration in U.S. Marketing Initiatives/Programs (15%) · Participates as a strong team member of U.S. Marketing, actively contributing to U.S. Marketing initiatives · Collaborates with Regional/National Graphic Design and Communications teams to drive an integrated approach (design and communications) in business development deliverables · Actively participates in National Marketing’s Mentoring Program and all other U.S. Marketing Training Programs 4. Communications & Reporting (15%) · Communicates successfully with internal client during the life cycle of an assignment so that he/she understands the project timeline and requirements · Complies with all U.S. Marketing reporting requirements including accurate and timely entries For U.S. Marketing Dedicated to U.S. Operations: Scope of Work is primarily business development. Success on Items 1-3 will be measured by feedback from Regional (Service Line) Director. For U.S. Marketing Dedicated to Branch: Scope of Work includes: business development support; advertising, PR and other integrated marketing functions; existing client support including offering materials; and production and coordination. Success on Items 1-3 will be measured by feedback from Branch Management and Regional Marketing Director. Required Skill Sets · Bachelor’s degree coupled with at least 5 years of business writing experience · Real estate experience preferred · Should be a self starter and possess a strong ability to lead the writing process and multiple projects simultaneously · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Excellent project management skills · Exceptional organizational skills · Excellent problem solving skills · Ability to work in a team environment · Detail oriented with pride in the quality of personal and team work · Ability to effectively execute assignments, meeting stringent deadlines · Ability to contribute strategic concepts for business and project initiatives and successfully execute those concepts · Software packages: Microsoft Office Suite –highly proficient, Adobe Creative Suite – intermediate
