Public Relations Manager
Description:EcoSys is seeking a full-time Public Relations Manager to join our growing internal marketing team. The PR manager will aid in planning our media and influencer strategies and lead the execution of the PR plan. This position will help drive consistent and positive brand reputation by reinforcing EcoSys as the category leader in the enterprise project controls software industry. The ideal candidate is has been successful in media relations and possesses a solid understanding of the evolving digital media landscape. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be effective in handling multiple projects with tight deadlines. Primary Responsibilities: Work with Marketing Director to help develop annual PR plan including strategic approach and tactics Direct execution of publicity programs and campaigns, improving awareness and public image of company Manage media relations, including relationships with journalists and bloggers for stories, press releases, and interviews. Content development including press/news releases, story pitches, bylines and thought leadership columns, customer case studies, and blogs Proactively identify PR opportunities within EcoSys and leverage those across media and stakeholders Collaborate as needed with senior executives, marketing teammates, other departments, and customers to create effective communications that articulate our product’s core benefits properly and consistently Provide public relations support for tradeshows and hosted events such as product roadshows and annual user conference Requirements: 5-7 years of relevant work experience in public relations, preferably with a focus on project management solutions and/or B2B enterprise software Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism or related Strong track record of creative, successful pitching with meaningful placements in both traditional and new media. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. Adept at juggling many projects at once, working cross-functionally, while never losing site of the core message and goal behind your work. A deep understanding of proper messaging and PR best practices, along with a creative spark to develop innovative content that stands out among the noise. Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization; Social media savvy Past experience with key vertical industries (engineering & construction, energy & utilities, oil & gas, government contractors, project controls) a plus Past experience with analyst relations a plus
