Description:The Scrum Master has day-to-day responsibility for facilitating the agile development process for software development teams operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Key responsibilities include facilitation of sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, and sprint retrospectives. A primary responsibility of the scrum master is to increase team productivity by removing project impediments and ensuring team work. The Scrum master will develop and capture scrum team metrics using Rally ALM tool. Responsibilities: Maximize throughput and productivity of the technical scrum teams Facilitates Sprint/Release Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Review Meetings, Sprint Retrospectives Meetings, and other related meetings Prepares for and facilitates Sprint Planning sessions with agile development teams to ensure that prioritized user story requirements and acceptance criteria for the upcoming Sprint are adequately documented and understood Ensures that Sprint Planning artifacts are created and captured Supports Product Owner in developing, maintaining and grooming Product Backlog and corresponding Burndown Chart Facilitate Team Breakout Sessions with an eye on process and related best practices; provide coaching where needed Removes impediments/blockers in order to keep teams highly productive Participate in Scrum of Scrums to identify dependencies and communicate across teams to resolve impediments and roadblocks Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint/release progress Provides metrics and status to senior management Generate enthusiasm among team members and facilitate effective team interaction Understands and helps manage the agile product life cycle from throughout each PSI/Release JOB REQUIREMENTS Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is required 5+years of experience using Agile practices in an enterprise environment 1-2 Years working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach Experience with Rally, VersionOne, Jira, or similar Agile ALM tool Experience working in a fast paced, agile environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Scaled Agilest or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC) is desired ASM is an Equal Opportunity Employer ASM is an Equal Opportunity Employer of individuals with disabilities.
