Responsibilities: Develops requirements from project inception to conclusion Assists other project members with analysis, evaluation, and preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in software; life-cycle management; software development methodologies; modeling and simulation; disaster recovery; and requirements management. Drives customer solutions from procurement to delivery. Provides expertise in Lean and Agile principles, serve as an Agile coach in technical or business elements, provides mentorship and training to Agile teams, and facilitates team sessions. Proposes team structures, processes, and frameworks for customer engagements Serves as an SME in detailed Agile principals and frameworks for technical proposals and provides assistance in vetting staff for Agile development engagements. Guides software development and IT teams in the adoption of the Agile mindset and facilitates performance of high-performing teams. Provides thought leadership to leaders, Agile teams and the Citizant Agile effort by driving continuous improvement, promoting best practices and sharing industry trends. Collaborates directly with software and operations tea members to coach and guide on the mechanics of Lean and Agile methods to achieve optimal team effectiveness Delivers hands-on coaching of individual teams in all aspects of scrum and kanban - daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, managing flow, limiting wip, etc Qualifications: 8-13 years of professional experience in software development. 8-13 years of experience applying Agile or Lean principals, such as Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Testing and Integration or other Agile/Lean frameworks. Demonstrable experience in leading Agile development teams working in a continuous delivery environment. Knowledge and experience applying Lean, Kanban, and DevOps practices in a Continuous Delivery environment Demonstrated training and change management experience Experience interacting with senior level management Experienced with co-located development process, such as paired development. Experience developing software on a modern development platform such as J2EE or .Net. Demonstrated experience teaching technical teams basic agile framework concepts Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and tasks. Demonstrated experience with meeting facilitation and negotiation Innovative and creative in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems. Strong understanding of Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail. Strong writing ability. Must have certification as either a Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach (CSC), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration, or other technical discipline. Desired Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively communicate across multiple levels (customers, support personnel, executive sponsors and team members) Project management experience is a plus Strong organizational and time management skills Team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative, multi-vendor environment Significant experience successfully facilitating agile ceremonies involving the customer and product owner Experience assisting teams in setting up development environments that enable test-driven development, automated builds and automated acceptance testing Strong creative thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management and organization skills to balance and prioritize work. Ability to serve as an Agile Coach, lead and work in a team environment and coach team members to reach their highest potential. Experienced with extreme programming (XP) a plus. Proven ability to lead a diverse group towards resolution when faced with ambiguous situation. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a very dynamic and timeline sensitive work environment. Clearance Requirement: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD security clearance.
