Responsibilities: We seek a Scrum Master to help us define an adaptive model, based on collaboration and communication between teams. A Scrum Master knows that Agile is a mindset, as well as a cultural change, that impacts people, processes and tools in different ways across the organization. You will apply Agile principles based on iterative, time-boxed, and incremental approach, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing and cross-functional teams. You will practice adaptive planning, evolutionary development, and delivery, which encourage a rapid and flexible response to change. As a Scrum Master, you will work with business and technology stakeholders to establish a Product Backlog that represents business requirements represented as stories. The Scrum Master should possess deep Product Management experience combined with knowledge of Agile practices. Key responsibilities may include: Grow Agile capability within NCI Practice deep understanding of more than one Agile flavors, such as Scrum, RUP, SAFE, XP, Lean, etc. Apply hands-on experience in various other roles within an Agile team, such as developer, BA, Agile tester, Scrum Master, etc. Monitor and manage team velocity and throughput Juggle multiple demands without missing deadlines The sheer variety of work we do, and the experiences that it offers, provide an unbeatable platform from which to build a career. Qualifications: 3 years IT/software process improvement experience 2 year Agile experience 1 year of managing multiple Agile teams (i.e. scrum of scrums) Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent Resident and able to obtain a government clearance Preferred: 2 years of leadership experience within an Agile software development team 1 year proposal development experience 1 year of experience managing teams In-depth knowledge of more than one Agile flavors, such as Scrum, XP, Crystal, Lean, etc. Experience with VersionOne, Rally, or other Agile project management tools Certified Agile Scrum Master Experience in a full software development life cycle Knowledge of solutions delivery IT process improvement Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Proven ability to meet tight deadlines Excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to articulate ideas effectively
