(DMI) is seeking to hire a Senior Technical Project Manager with extensive experience leading software development efforts and managing customer relationships in support of a large Federal agency. This position interfaces with customer executive level management on a regular basis. The PM will lead and direct high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with customer executives. Responsibilities and Duties: Team leadership, responsibility for deliverables and all aspects of the project over the entire project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close, continuous improvement) Conduct regular meetings with team members, DMI management and government executives delivering clear and concise project status and technical schedules using the IBM Rational Tool Suite, SharePoint and other productivity tools Assist and review all startup and planning documentation Assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources as needed, and develop a schedule to ensure timely completion of the project Develop and manage project schedules in Microsoft Project Provide estimates for work proposals Manage estimates as presented to supervisor and senior level management Manage the scope, risks, issues, deliverables, and schedule of individual project tasks Effectively communicate with government officials of all levels Attend Customer Communication meetings and provide project status updates Monitor team dynamics and team accountability related to delivery commitments Assign project tasks and coordinate resources, including the review of individual issues and concerns and resolving or escalating such issues as needed Manage (e.g., tracking, updating, reviewing) the dashboard and reports Establish and enforce the use of the project's Change Control process Establish and enforce the use of the project's Communication Plan Manage projects from original concept through final implementation using the waterfall or Agile methodologies Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Experience in leading application development within Agile methodology 7+ years in project management Required Skills/Certifications: Exceptional communications skills - written and oral Estimating level of effort for software development projects Has developed and managed to a project budget Proficient in Microsoft Project, IBM Rational Tool Suite, SharePoint Desired Skills/Certifications: Scrum master or Product Owner a plus PMP certification Additional Requirements: Must be able obtain a Position of Trust clearance Physical Requirements: N/A Location: Washington, DC Working at DMI DMI is a diverse, prosperous and rewarding place to work.
