PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Plan, manage, and provide oversight of Information Technology projects including resources, finances, and scope. Utilize standard project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to deliver quality solutions on time, within budget and that achieve the expected business outcomes. Manage large-scale projects of high to medium complexity, size and change management requirements. Oversee compliance of IT and Project controls to mitigate or prevent risk exposure. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Plan and manage project scope, schedule, and budget to provide a quality deliverable on time and on budget. Establish milestones, anticipate issues and monitor adherence to project scope and schedule. Ensure project resources adhere to standard project management methodology, IT development standards, processes, and maintain proper documentation as defined within the Management Model. 25% - Monitor, identify, and address changes to project scope, schedule, budget and health constraints. Proactively manage project risks & issues to ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure. 10% - Manage effective stakeholder relationships by providing consistent communication and transparency of the Project Health of each initiative. Provide weekly, monthly, and executive status updates with a Project Health Report that includes status of the schedule, scope, budget, staffing, issues, and risks. 15% - Oversee process improvement during the project to ensure adoption of standard processes that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels. Ensures that project metrics and lessons learned are appropriately documented and communicated for the benefit of other staff and future projects. 10% - Maintain current business knowledge/acumen and project management expertise including application of technology solutions to deliver business results. 10% - Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Participate in career development and succession planning processes. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees. 20% - Prepare, manage, and monitor budget for area(s) of responsibility. This includes forecasting labor and non-labor expenses to meet future support and project demands. 5% POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: - Bachelor¿s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least 8 years of Project Management with large scale enterprise implementations Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRMs) or Customer Information Systems (CIS). - Technical skills & expertise: Microsoft technologies(.Net, C, C++), Oracle technologies (PL/SQ, Java ), XML, VSS, CVS, Unix - PMP certification as required by job focus. - Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in the Retail Energy or Wholesale Trading, or other Retail Supplier industries (cable, telecom) - Experience leading and managing multiple project development teams including Agile (small teams concept) - Strong organizational skills with the ability to see the big picture while prioritizing the work of multiple project development teams - Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss a project in the context of what is most important to the intended audience - Strong judgment and excellent analytical ability. - Ability to influence, enable, and challenge stakeholders towards commitment and execution of project deliverables -Ability to navigate through complex problem solving within a matrix organization - Experience in managing and reporting project budget, accruals, and resource forecasting. Preferred: - Graduate degree - SCRUM Master - Experience with merger and acquisition IT - Experience with leading compliance, cyber security, or Cyber Infrastructure Protection (CIP) teams or program - Experience with system/platform conversions such as Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRMs) or Customer Information Systems (CIS).
