Scrum Master (Project Manager)
Description:Position Summary: The Scrum Master (Project Manager) will be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of high quality projects meeting established business requirements using the Agile methodology. This Candidate will also act as the project facilitator as projects progress through the product lifecycle. In addition, he or she will provide coaching to the organization, ensuring adherence to established Agile processes and practices. The Scrum Master will be responsible for numerous tasks covering the business capabilities development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have superior business-facing skills. He or she will need to support the team with various levels of communications, status reporting, coordination, internal and external meeting facilitation and management, workshop sessions, decision management documentation, and presentation and delivery (release) preparation. Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Responsibilities: Manage multiple projects of medium to large scale through all sprints/iterations and phases of the project Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint/release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress with, and to all affected teams and management Ensure the development teams are practicing core agile principles Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs Update company project portfolio system for status, resource allocation and capacity planning, and budget preparation Assist with internal and external communication Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition Determine and remove all obstacles that may interfere with the ability of the teams’ to deliver assigned goals Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution Provide direction to project activities to ensure successful implementation and support Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase productivity Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation Assist in defining and deploying new IT development processes and in facilitating the continuous improvement of existing processes Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Required Skills: Certified Scrum Master or 3+ years’ experience in Agile software project management Thorough understanding of enterprise software development processes and lifecycleAbility to adjust and apply this technical knowledge in a dynamic environment using Agile development principles 5-7 years’ experience in managing multiple information systems or eCommerce and Conte Management related projects Bachelor's Degree 5 years’ experience in a structured project management environment with a demonstrated appreciation for disciplined project management Have the ability to quickly understand the scope of the project and identify key success and risk factors Have a thorough understanding of how back-end and web-based systems interface with each other. Knowledge of Front End technologies a plus Experience with Mobile Technologies is a plus Should be able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Enthusiastic team-player as well as a self-starter Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills. Experience and knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Java etc. Experience and knowledge of online retail is a must Strong presentation skills Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint) and system documentation tools.
