Program Manager Scrum Master

We are looking to add a highly qualified and experienced Scrum Master to be an integral part of our team to drive this transformation. Our team delivers high-availability and scalable customer-facing learning applications to students around the world. The Scrum Master provides structure for the product development teams, facilitates the agile process and removes impediments. The position is located in Baltimore, MD. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate selected for this role will: Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to build products which delight customers Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment. Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Develop and monitor work plans, schedules, communication strategies, budget, critical success factors, and manage risks and project changes. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of status and deliverables Develop and maintain productive working relationships with management, customers, team members, and other groups. Organize and chair agile meetings (e.g., daily standup, backlog grooming). Prepare proposals for new business opportunities and associated solutions. Identify and support process enhancements to ensure daily operations align with education technology strategy. Actively participate in the Project Community including presentations, cross-office collaboration, and mentorship activities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent years of experience 3+ years IT Project Management experience in a large, enterprise environment PMP and/or Scrum Master Certification Experience utilizing formal PM methodologies Proven experience in building strong relationships with business partners at all levels; possesses a strong client/customer service orientation toward both internal and external parties. Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders and quickly earn credibility and respect as an agile expert and a strategic thought partner. Experience in the higher education industry with student information systems and learning management systems experience is preferred.
