Description:The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects in a complex, high technology software development environment from end-to-end, including utilization of various software development life cycles. This includes confirming and coordinating software enhancements to ensure they are implemented concurrently to enable successful testing of system functionality. Main Responsibilities: Manages through to completion, all aspects of assigned software development and security projects including: planning; specification development; customer interaction and expectation management; software development and QA; and delivery. Works directly with clients, senior management, internal and external teams, and outside resources to manage projects through the software development life cycle (SDLC). Leverages Agile and Scrum methodologies to plan, manage and track project teams. Interfaces with clients and others (e.g. testing team) to collect and document requirements and requested enhancements. Coordinates each level of testing (unit, system, integrated) as well as customer acceptance testing. Collects and documents feedback from testing to provide updates to internal team for review and resolution. Communicates potential areas of concern or risk related to projects; documents all potential risks as part of a formal Risk Assessment & Gap Analysis process. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path. Tracks and reports slippages with workable mitigation plans. Maintains plans showing key deliverables, milestones, and dependencies for all development and security projects. Escalates projects risks and constraints in a timely manner to senior management, SME and/or team(s). Manages the development efforts of multiple concurrent projects and multiple plans. Ensures the use of best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects. Evaluates, develops, and refines process(es) to improve team productivity and efficiency. Organizes and maintains all project related documentation including scope, charter, schedule, status, budgets, etc. using PMI methodology. Develops project documentation as a result of completed project (e.g. documentation of policy, procedures, SOPs, release notes). Ensures documentation is kept current. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business or health-related field required. Master's degree preferred. PMI Certification preferred with thorough understanding of Project Management Methodologies & Techniques (PMI PMBOK). CSM/ CSP preferred with thorough understanding of Scrum /Agile Methodologies. Experience: Preferred Six Sigma process improvement certification Minimum of 10 years of experience as a software development project manager. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software development project manager in the HIT industry. Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies, playing the role of scrum master effectively. Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as Agile/Scrum including various tracking methodologies such as earned value management (EVM). Strong requirements analysis skills including retrieving/understanding scopes of work for each phase of the project with limited information. A thorough and demonstrated understanding of generic project lifecycle management controls. Maintains outstanding attitude and excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment even in high pressure situations. Experience with utilizing various Project Management tools including enterprise level systems (e.g. MS Project/Project Server or similar tools). Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of product technology in an ever changing and rapidly expanding environment. Experience with evaluating and then developing / refining process(es) to improve team productivity and efficiency. Experience utilizing defect tracking software (e.g. Bugzilla). Excellent business and communication skills (written and verbal). Must have excellent leadership, team management, relationship building, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage client expectations. Ability to travel as required. Proficiency with visual meeting formats (e.g. Skype, FaceTime).
