Project Manager/Scrum Master
Description:Responsible for using best practice methodology to create a project plan to the fit the client s needs, developing a schedule to ensure project completion, and delivering on desired outcomes. Must be accountable for comprehending the project scope and project objectives to effectively coordinate the activities of the team members and ensure completion of the project timeline. Typically has a Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience/education. Must have Agile project management experience. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Scrum Master for mixed Dev & QA project team. Manage all project tickets, Sprint planning, scope, process, progress, and completion. Create a project plan with clear articulation of business outcomes when required. Resolve issues and conflicts, remove barriers, and resolve minor project issues. Act as escalation point for potential conflicts between direction and project constraints. Manage project scope/requirements changes, multiple and competing demands and priorities determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate fact-based metrics/assumptions. Education/Experience: Bachelor degree or equivalent education/experience. 5-7 years experience managing medium to large sized projects. Managing teams of 10-15 people within a matrix environment. Experience managing several significant projects simultaneously. Strong experience with Agile development process, managing Sprint scope, burn-down, completion, and wrap-up. Experience with 2-week Sprint cycles is a plus. Responsibility Level: Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor. May assemble a team, outline individual responsibilities and provide on-going direction. Skills: Experience with Jira (a plus), or other Agile tools for managing agile projects required. Advanced verbal and written communications skills required to manage communications to all stakeholders. Highly organized, with strong customer service, interpersonal and time management skills. Creative problem solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals. Advanced knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics. Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis. Advanced user proficiency with computer software, such as MS Office, MS Project and/or Visio. Advanced understanding of IT principals, including lifecycle planning, estimating and architecture.
