Description:The Carlyle Group seeks an Information Technology professional with a proven track record leading technology projects involving process re-engineering, new system implementations, and enterprise reporting initiatives. Consulting skills will be required to partner directly with business professionals in the Tax and Legal and Compliance areas to jointly deliver business process efficiencies and automate internal and external reporting requirements. The candidate should be a highly-organized and creative thinker who has the ability to synthesize complex ideas and communicate these clearly to a variety of stakeholder groups. Knowledge of industry best-practices regarding agile and hybrid software delivery methodologies is paramount to being able to support a diverse portfolio of projects. A background in technology used to support the automation of core processes in Tax and Legal and Compliance, and the ability to serve as an IT subject-matter expert of customer systems is required in order to be successful in this role. Serving as Scrum Master, the candidate will be responsible for documenting existing processes, identifying requirements, proactively monitoring and resolving risks/issues, and managing releases. The candidate will interact closely with customer stakeholders, teams of contractors, and full time development staff on projects on a daily basis. This position will facilitate solution delivery using Agile best practices in the following ways: • Writing user stories, managing release and iteration plans, creating business use cases, and writing test cases • Working with users and technical staff to analyse and document data requirements • Leading daily stand-up meetings, velocity and capacity planning, and retrospectives • Removing any impediments in order to keep teams highly productive • Identifying and managing dependencies with other internal or external teams • Providing metrics and status to senior management The position involves significant interaction with a diverse user base of back office and front office professionals. Work directly with clients on activities that include: business analysis planning, requirements elicitation and analysis, business case creation, use case design, hands on system configuration, data analysis and business and system process mapping / engineering. Provide hands-on guidance and lead project teams using Agile methods. (Scrum/Kanban). Assist in system testing and quality assurance process for related enhancements and new development. Ability to coordinate testing activities between several departments.
