Analyzes, acquires, installs, modifies and supports operating systems, databases, utilities and Internet/intranet-related tools. Conducts systems programming and systems support activities, such as new or revised program language codes, processing routines and report generators. Monitors effective language codes, processing routines, hardware use and use of database management techniques. Modifies, maintains and updates software, such as compilers, link editors, assemblers, OEM utilities, JCL, macros and subroutines. Develops and reviews operator and control instructions. Prepares and conducts system and programming tests requiring interfacing of hardware and software. Conducts programming tasks including program design, program coding, debugging and documentation. As directed, prepares feasibility studies and designs tests to determine operating characteristics of software.


  • Work with business analysts and system users define and manage requirements
  • Develop new or revise existing applications from written program specifications that have been provided by, or developed with, the Business Analyst or user

  • Review program requests and specifications for logic and data consistency; recommend alternatives when appropriate

  • Estimate time to complete program changes from high level specifications

  • Develop new, maintain, or enhance custom programs, including maintenance of documentation, and change management systems

  • Design, develop, and implement system enhancements utilizing best practices of the software vendor

  • Consistently improve the support processes through initiatives

  • Design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate test data, and document test results

  • Collaborate with other company developers to develop company development standards, best practices, and code reviews

  • Participate in the development of IT policies, procedures, and processes

  • Maintain accuracy of helpdesk database of reported problems and the knowledgebase of corrective actions which resolved issue

  • Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Barriers to entry such as technical committee review exist at this level.

  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Contacts pertain to significant matters often involving coordination among groups.

  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others.


  • Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years of related experience.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2+ years experience with Microsoft .Net using C#.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2+ years experience with JavaScript and CSS.

  • Typically requires 2+ years development experience in MS SQL Server 2008 or higher.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.  Strong customer service orientation, project planning and execution skills a must.

  • Able to work independently to solve problems

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills



  • .NET Framework 4.0 or higher

  • SQL Server 2008 or higher.

  • Microsoft SQL Development using T-SQL

  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS

  • SDLC methodologies such as waterfall, Agile
