Position Purpose Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, FP&A, the Finance Specialist is responsible for providing overall financial and analytical support to Pact and its subsidiaries related to budgetary and data collection from a variety of corporate financial systems. The FP&A department, contributes to realizing this purpose by: Providing financial and strategic oversight Developing business models, financial reports and analysis, annual corporate budgets, and cost proposals Forging smart partnerships and treating all people with dignity and respect Applying organizational policies and regulatory compliance appropriately and consistently Facilitating team spirit among colleagues and promoting the organization through communications Influencing decision makers through focused, relevant communications Continually striving to learn and share knowledge and find small ways to make the workplace more enjoyable for all Cultivating and harvesting innovation Contributing to the organization's ability to think and act strategically at all times Inspiring and spreading our desired organizational culture across the global enterprise Key Responsibilities: Conduct due diligence on projects by researching and analyzing financial and programmatic areas of given project Analyze financial information relating to specific subsidiaries, e.g. company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements to determine how the organization is positioned to deliver for beneficiaries Conduct business modeling and assess ROI, NPV, and Cash Projections Analyze project data to eliminate financial risk during projects start up, implementation, and close out. Provide support on reviewing budget realignments, making sure those are realistic cost projections and in compliance with Pact’s cost policies and full cost recovery objective. Ensure that the budgets are numerically accurate and internally consistent with Pact policies, that the various datasheets/tabs are adequately linked and that the budget notes are consistent Perform variance analysis of budget vs. actuals; cash flow projections; business analytics; and cash management assessments Provide support in the annual preparation of the fiscal year budgets for HQ operations and Country Offices Assist in the design and development of financial reports, data mining and data warehouse activities for the ERP platform Insure data integrity in all reporting applications Utilize computer skills in the preparation of data used for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Assist on the preparation of presentations to the Board of Directors and the Finance and Audit Committee of the respective subsidiaries Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by extracting and filtering accounting/customer data from internal systems Review and prepare working capital request from field offices.
