Description:On Call Rate:No Call Overtime Rate:All Inclusive Rate + $10 Call Back Minimum: Holiday Rate:All Inclusive Rate + $10 shift:EN 8 and 12 hour shifts Minimum Years Experience Required:2 Certification Requirements: General:BLS Nursing:No Certifications Needed Dialysis:No Certifications Needed Medical, Surgical and Short Stay Unit-F6/4Nurses on this 27-bed unit provide care to a diverse population of adult medical and surgical patients. The unit provides care for those medical and surgical patients with an expected short stay for a post-operative procedure or a medical condition requiring a 1-2 day length of stay and select medicine service patients. Patients are received from multiple areas: Emergency Department, Operative Services, inter-hospital transfers, and direct admissions from clinics, scheduled admissions awaiting bed availability and specialized out-patient procedures requiring prolonged stay. The diversity of the patient population provides nurses with the challenge to use their expertise in assessment and intervention.Minimum Requirements:1. Traveler must have permanent address outside 75 mile radius of Madison2. Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state 3. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.4. Traveler must have one successful assignment as travel RN (13 weeks)5. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center. 6. Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Will be required to pass Telemetry test upon arrival at UWHC. 7. Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).Telemetry Competency: All agency travelers must demonstrate competency in interpretation of cardiac rhythms before your orientation begins. Previous completion of PALS, ACLS, etc. is not acceptable as a demonstration of this competency. Instead, you will be expected to satisfactorily complete a 20 question test which consists of multiple choice questions and write-in rhythm identification. You must pass with an overall score of 80% and correctly identify 100% of the 4 life-threatening rhythms for your patient population (adult or peds).
