The Manger of Windows Platforms and Services leads a team of 10-12 Windows engineers, administrators and technicians. Achieving success by establishing and executing a strategic roadmap and support practices for the Windows infrastructure, focusing on technical and operational improvements. The position requires a fully engaged hands-on management style. The scale of the environment is characterized by 1,200 users in approximately 20 locations across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.


  • Assess the current environment and operational framework, and identify areas of improvement
  • Manage the complete lifecycle for the products and services supplied by the Windows team
  • Develop and maintain standards and best practices in building Windows solutions
  • Define and implement the optimal organizational structure for the team
  • Manage, develop and provide technical leadership for the team members
  • Continually address and balance issues of functionality, performance, security, usability and cost
  • Maintain excellence in user experience for internal customers
  • Represent the team in discussions with senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage vendors and product/service contracts


  • Minimum 7 years of Windows server and workstation experience as an administrator or engineer, covering Windows 7, 8 and 10, and Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial role
  • Extensive experience with managing Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Knowledge of Windows security best practices
  • Virtualization experience with VMware, including Horizon View and vSphere
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical abilities
  • High self-motivation and initiative
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
