Sr. Desktop Support Admin
This position provides senior-level support to desktop and LAN systems , reporting to the IT Geography Manager in our new Shared Services Facility in Lancaster, PA. The principal duties are as follows:
Maintain detailed and up-to-date license and hardware/software inventory.
Provide Tier 2/3 laptop/desktop deployments and Break/Fix (Windows and Macs).
Provide Tier 2/3 printer/fax deployments and Break/Fix.
Enforce request handling and escalation policies and procedures.
Assist in the procurement of relevant IT equipment and supplies.
Perform software patch management, AntiVirus Management and desktop security support.
Provide other user support and training as required.
Build, maintain, and support the local server environment (file, print, etc.)
Provide local VoIP telephony support.
Manage IT Department documentation where applicable.
Perform Preventive Maintenance, LAN Support, and Active Directory support.
Provide Tier 2/3 BlackBerry / iPhone/ wireless device deployment and support.
Provide Tier 2/3 Windows 7 Enterprise/ Microsoft Application Support.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (including, LAN, WAN and VPN)
Provide server management for local servers, including, backups and recovery, ensure proper patch management, storage maintenance, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS degree.
At least seven years IT experience in an enterprise setting for IT security.
McAfee Certified Product Specialist (CPS) or Anti-Virus certification preferred.
Solid communication and analytical skills are required.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group including internal clients possessing a range of different skills other than IT.
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and excellent organizational skills.
