The Salesforce.com Administrator is responsible for the development and management of marketing database projects to support business priorities and marketing programs. The position requires strategic planning, project coordination, vendor management, and quality control procedures required to deliver direct marketing, database and analytical projects. The individual must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, has strong project management and interpersonal skills, and is technically adept.
Manage all aspects of the marketing database that includes leads, contacts, opportunities, accounts, dashboards and reporting. This position oversees the database and direct mail administration functions.
Manage entire database projects: planning, discovery, documentation, development, testing, deployment.
Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop targeted lists for integrated B2B marketing campaigns.
Understand business objectives to recommend future marketing database initiatives.
Provide clear visibility and segmentation of target companies and prospects.
Manage database list acquisition, cleansing and augmentation strategies.
Uncover applications of data to drive marketing programs and initiatives.
Continually refine the database by mining the data for valuable insights.
Create and produce analytics and reports for all marketing campaigns and initiatives to include ROI and conversion rates. Develop detailed dashboards and KPIs.
Proactively work with third party vendors regarding database, telemarketing and lead generation.
Document business requirements; plan and participate in the QA process.
Communicate project details, issues and progress to team members. Coordinate with vendors.
5+ years of experience managing a marketing database
Salesforce.com experience required (or other CRM tools)
Must be proficient in MS Office, MS Excel and MS Access.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment as well as adapt to continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time with minimal supervision.

Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously against deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.

Good understanding of direct marketing principles
