Work Description:

The selected Lead BSA is expected to a leading role in the efforts, processes and procedures associated with managing all aspects related to the requirements life cycle process, for BSA associates. This person will routinely conduct BSA peer review sessions, and provide constructive feedback. This person will manage and administer PMO documentation on SharePoint. This position will report to the AE Information Technology PMO Business Systems Analyst Supervisor.


Services to be performed may include, but not be limited to the following:

1. Lead BSA

{C}·         Organizes, plans and prioritizes work of BSA’s across projects, and leads BSA efforts by providing direction and/or guidance

{C}·         Identifies, documents and implements methods, processes and procedures to strengthen the management of the requirements lifecycle process

{C}·         Weekly meeting with each BSA associate, to discuss their project progress, tasks, status, and plans

{C}-       Identifies and addresses potential issues and/or gaps

{C}-       Provides suggestion(s) and recommendation(s) for next steps

{C}-       Follows up and closes the loop on pending items

{C}·         Facilitates knowledge sharing among BSA/PMO associates

·         Communicates status of assignments and ensures deadlines are met


2. Peer Reviews

{C}·         Conduct peer review session of requirements and related project documentation, with BSA associates on a frequent basis

{C}-       Provide constructive feedback, ideas and suggestions to BSA associates

{C}-       Engage attending associates to collaborate by soliciting and discussing their feedback, ideas and suggestions


3. Requirements

{C}·         Investigate and analyzes problems, processes, requirements and related project documentation, including impact and gap analysis of change on the systems and/or business areas, in order to recommend appropriate alternatives/solutions

{C}·         Elicits, gathers, analyzes, and documents requirements (e.g. Functional, Non-Functional and Technical), process and use cases

{C}·         Facilitates and functions as a liaison between business and technical teams in analyzing and assessing alternatives/solutions to meet and user needs through the requirements

{C}·         Create new and/or updates existing applicable templates

{C}·         Manages the requirements life cycle process

{C}-       Collaborates with applicable parties and efforts during the management of the requirements life cycle process (e.g. design, testing, etc)

{C}-       Creates, traces and maintains the requirements in the RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix) through design, development and testing (as applicable)


4. Processes

{C}·         Analyzes and documents the as-is and to-be processes and procedures

{C}·         Assesses and determines viable alternatives/solutions for process improvement need

{C}·         Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

{C}·         Reviews, establishes and manages content within SharePoint (which includes but is not limited to Project Web Access) by analyzing the SharePoint site content

{C}-       to assess, implement and document a standard file structure for documents and projects managed on SharePoint

{C}-       to assess, implement and document a process, which allows for quick access to the latest approval status of applicable project documents through SharePoint


Minimum Requirements:




College Degree

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in Business or Information Science or in a field related to the job.


Experience in IT (Lead) BSA, in eliciting, gathering and documenting requirements ( functional, non-functional, technical)


Experience in conducting business/systems process analysis and documenting the business process flows (as-is and to-be)


Experience in conducting use case analysis and documenting the use cases


Experience in managing the entire requirements life cycle process


Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile project management methodologies and will creating WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)


Skilled at delayed analysis, process, quality, problem solving, critical thinking, solution proposal and decision making along with a customer focus, results orientation, and business sense


Skilled at teamwork, communication, innovation, adaptability, and decision making along with a customer focus, results orientation, and business sense


Skilled in business or technical writing


Skilled at multitasking and meeting tight deadlines


Experience in leading, prioritizing and coaching efforts of BSA associates


Experience in implementing and documenting processes and procedures associated with managing the entire requirements life cycle process


Experience in conducting peer reviews of requirements and related project documents and providing constructive peer review feedback


Experience in establishing and documenting a process for managing and administering team/project documentation, information and communication on SharePoint


Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Project Server
