The desired candidate will employ project management and governance strategies to support and facilitate organized decision-making and project momentum and perform activities related to the following Process Areas defined by the Project Management institute:

·         Project Integration Management - Establishes a comprehensive Project Management Work Plan to track the project team’s progress regarding project tasks, deliverables, milestones and the management of risks.

·         Project Scope Management - Clarify, resolve and assist in addressing any issues related to project scope.

·         Quality Management - Propose program-wide standards for schedules, project and program plans, quality criteria, deliverables, communication plans, etc.

·         Communication Management - Establishes a consistent method for communication planning, management, methods and activities needed to ensure timely and appropriate collection, generation, dissemination, storage, and disposition of project information.

·         Risk Management - Establishes a comprehensive strategy and methodology for identifying, assessing, reporting, managing, and mitigating risk and the framework for a comprehensive, continuous, and measurable quality assurance program.

 

Additionally, the selected Worker will perform the following services including but are not limited to:

  • Develops and maintains project management plans, tools and techniques for the successful implementation of the Texas EBT project;
  • Works with the EBT Project Director and project sponsor to build and maintain an effective project team, assigning tasks to team members (as appropriate);
  • Performs and documents quality reviews; 
  • Coordinates resources and timelines associated with the EBT implementation project, including tasks performed by contractors;
  • Schedules and facilitates joint application design sessions and business requirements gathering sessions;
  • Ensures that the project plan maintains tasks, schedules, and estimates; and disseminates information to team members and other agency staff;
  • Monitors project tasks on an ongoing basis to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within approved timelines;
  • Schedules and facilitates or participates in project team meetings, risk assessments, scope change discussions and change management activities related to the EBT implementation project;
  • Frequently communicates verbally and in writing with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure that the EBT system and related capabilities meet stakeholder needs;
  • Monitors and summarizes progress of the EBT implementation project and prepares reports for management regarding status of the project;
  • Uses personal computer software to create documents and presentations such as charts, graphs, diagrams, tables, reports, and flowcharts;
  • Identifies, tracks and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers;
  • Develops solutions to complex problems and issues;
  • Documents risks and develops mitigation plans; and
  • Makes recommendations for corrective actions in any area where performance falls below objectives and oversees corrective action plans.
