General Architect Role

{C}•       {C}Analyzes customer service requirements and designs service solutions to meet those objectives. 

{C}•       {C}Maintains and utilizes detailed industry and internal services knowledge in industry-leading services solutions, including expert working level knowledge of the processes, technologies, and people components involved in the services arena..

{C}•       {C}Constructs risk assessments and corresponding remediation plans relative to the options proposed.

{C}•       {C}Composes Statement of Work or other documents, to craft detailed and accurate deliverables that specify processes, technology, staffing, and project management involved in proposed services solutions. 

{C}•       {C}As needed, provide a "trusted expert advisor" role as a Subject Matter Expert for technical services to the IT team, business unit, and management team.  

{C}•       {C}Follow all organizational Standard Operating Procedures relative to infrastructure modeling, approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflow and deliverables.

{C}•       {C}Should have a deep level of interest in helping the project succeed, in defining and documenting the details of how the business works today and in identifying opportunities to create long-term value for the business and resolve business issues proactively. 

 

Specific MMW Work

{C}•       {C}Worker shall be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Mobile Workforce Management processes and systems in the Utility Industry – including field service processes such as outage management, construction, connects, disconnects, exchanges, troubleshooting for an AMI electric meter network, and including scheduling and dispatch for planned and corrective maintenance service, and a current understanding of how mobile field workers can interact with a central system to conduct field service activities.

{C}•       {C}Based on prior knowledge of leading COTS packages, Worker shall align the business requirements with viable package functions, and advise if some requirements are not typically supported by leading COTS solutions – essentially align the requirements with what is generally achievable & supportable. 

{C}•       {C}Shares lessons learned from prior MWM implementations to help guide the requirements/package selection process and advises the project on the relative value of implementing different MWM functions.

{C}•       {C}Uses expertise to construct specific and detailed solutions that encompass process, technology, and staffing plans for delivering the product.

{C}•       {C}Forms strong relationships with business stakeholders at all levels and identifies/communicates opportunities to leverage an MWM system to generate business value.

{C}•       {C}Be able to review and understand the architecture, integration and functionality of the current MWM solution (Oracle MWM).

Demonstrated Enterprise Architect titled experience

Demonstrated experience in leading the functional design and gap analysis effort for a complex COTS package and extended solution.  Broad understanding of how COTS packages work and how to map COTS functions to business processes including Out of Box (OOB) functions, configurations, customizations, enhancements.

Industry in the area of Mobile Workforce Management solutions.

Skilled in analyzing complex business processes, mapping them to system functionality, developing and evaluating options, estimating financial and business implications, and in conveying recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience in collecting and documenting business requirements, and creating related functional designs at the level of detail that can be handed off to a development team for technical design and implementation.  Experience in analyzing interface and data conversion requirements and detailing them to the logical design level including logical data mapping documents

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences of varying technical aptitudes, including business users, vendor analysts, internal IT staff, developers, etc.

Knowledge of project management techniques and ability to develop small schedules for tactical work streams and manage such work without extensive guidance from the Project Manager.

Demonstrated experience with implementing two or more distinct Mobile Workforce Management products from different vendors.

Awareness of technologies such as Oracle DB, IBM Websphere (preferable)
